1947 Kurtis Kraft Offenhauser Midget race car. Kurtis Kraft was a high-quality midget chassis available in the 1940s-1950s, Kurtis midgets dominated the sport for two decades. This Kurtis has an Offenhauser 110 cubic inch twin-overhead cam engine with magneto ignition, twin Riley carburetors, quick-change rear end, knock-off mag wheels, early period spot disc brakes, and torsion bar suspension. 1947 #77 Johnny Coy Ford V 8 60 Midget race car. This is a typical early style midget, most likely built from plans in Ray Kuns Automobile Racing books from the mid 1930’s. This car has a V 8 60 engine with high compression heads, twin carburetors, exhaust headers, magneto ignition, external oil and water pumps. The button on the brake lever is a magneto kill switch, used when there was trouble on the track. See Ful Description
