American made Hobby Horse (early 1800’s)
This one of a kind American made hobby horse bicycle is considered to be the only one in existence. This bicycle sold at Copake Auction in April 2009 for $16,500.
(Virtually every American-made velocipede was unique unto itself. Images for designs were taken from Magazines (e.g. Analectic Magazine of June, 1819) and various illustrated Newspaper Articles and Advertisements.)
