Copake Auction will hold its 35th Annual New Year’s Day auction on Thursday January 1st at 12PM. Previews will be 12/27 through 12/31 11-5PM and 1/1 10AM until 11:45AM. The auction features items from the 18th c. Millbrook N.Y. home of Jamie Turndorf (radio host”Dr. Love”), an 18th c. upper Saddle River New Jersey Dutch Home and several handpicked estates from the tri-state area. “This will be one of the best auctions we have ever held, such a broad and quality selection” said Mike Fallon owner of Copake Auction.
Highlights in furniture include (5) 18th c. Highboys, (10) Grandfather clocks (including a Tiffany example), corner cupboards, early seating, tavern tables, farm tables, 18th c. chest on frame, Continental furniture, candlestands, cupboards, dropleaf tables, blanket boxes, blanket chests and more. Many items are in original paint surface.
Folk art will include weathervanes, game boards, decoy collection, wooden Santa Clause figure, trade signs, carvings, primitives, windmill weights and more.
