1. 19th c. English silverplate and cut glass desk set signed and hallmarked “R. Richardson Cornwall Works Sheffield #2405” c. 1885. Paw footed plateau having pen well flanked by matched pair of built in cut glass inkwells with silver flip lids having turned finials, cast silver plated wheelman mounting his highwheel. 15 ½” x 7” 8”ht. Ex Roger Johnson collection, one of the pioneer bicycle collector-scholars in this country. This item is the last items of his collection and was one of his most coveted pieces. Very good condition.
