45. 1937 Indian manufactured in Germany under license from the Indian Motorcycle Co., Springfield, MA and sold by American dealers. Head badge reads, “Indian Motorcycle Co. USA”. Unrestored with very good original black paint. Includes accessory leather saddle bags, tool pouch, speedometer and horn-light. Sold: $11,000

48A. c.1860 boneshaker having wrought iron frame with curved leaf spring saddle mount, 36” front and 31” rear spoked wheels with iron rims, cranks are shaped, rear wheel has step, saddle is re-covered. Retains rear spoon brake. Over painted blue with gold pinstripe. Good condition. Sold: $2,420

49. Elgin shaft drive “Robin” with one-off experimental brake in pedal crank housing. One of three shaft drive prototypes produced by Elgin and the only example remaining with original paint. 56A. c.1868 boneshaker of highly unusual design having usual wrought iron frame with attached rear fork and sloping curved and curled saddle spring, rear block brake, straight cranks with wooden triangulated pedals. Note very unusual wrought iron wheels with star configuration tapered iron spokes (forged construction). 36” front and 30 ½” rear wheels. Over painted green with gold accents. Good condition. 66. 1937 Mercury with extremely rare handlebar mount “Twin Pod” (double headlamp speedo and horn combination), trap door tank carrier, ribbed chainguard, built-in side stand, correct streamline rear reflector, chrome fender tips, Firestone white wall tires, and re-covered Messinger saddle.
