57. 1936 Elgin Robin in optional black with cream accents. This is a desirable early model with a long seat mast. A fabulous restoration of a complete original bike: paint by the legendary Kid Dean of California and saddle by Jim Bailey. Correct in every respect: pencil side stand, Allstate white side tires, Torrington stem, correct rack and proper teardrop pedals. Sold: $5,445
60. 1938 Silver King Wingbar by Monarch, the ultimate Silver King fully restored with Kid Dean paint and Jim Bailey tool box seat. There is no better restored example of this top collectible, with all the bells and whistles: battery operated teardrop tail light, correct rack, butterfly center stand, correct chain guard, Bailey tool box seat with raspberry jewel, battery tube, truss rod horn button, fluted aluminum bars, speedo stem, Delta horn light with fin, NOS Cordovan ribbed white side tires. Sold: $3,300
61. Very rare c.1887 junior size 36” open head highwheel having moustache handlebars with brake and hardware, radially spoked 36” wheel with fine ribbed replacement tire, rear wheel retains original tire, slotted crank levers with pedals. Seat is in very good useable condition. Tapered backbone has sawtooth adjustable step. Very original and very good condition. This is the first junior highwheel we have ever offered, they are extremely scarce. Sold: $6,050
65. c.1889 cross frame hard tire safety having upper and lower stay rods and off set crank hanger with Victor style bearings marked, “The Eolus Pat. 1877, Ltd. Brown Maker”. Correct handlebars with rose wood grips and brakes, open head, coaster pegs with rubber blocks, lamp bracket, front and rear fenders, rear step and new 29” tires. Excellent condition. Sold: $2,860
72. 19th c. spelter metal and cast Victorian highwheel thermometer depicting uniformed wheelman mounting a highwheel raised on molded base. Wheel has milk glass insert with mercury tube thermometer. 7 ½” base and 6 ½”Ht. Excellent detail. Very good condition. Ex Berry Collection.

75. Rare and desirable 19th c. plated Victorian knife stand having fancy base with foliate relief and cherub heads, topped by angel on highwheel with club banner. Very unusual. Knives not original to base. Ex Berry Collection. 9”Ht. Plating shows wear, otherwise very good condition.

76. c.1889 Jos. Lucas & Sons “King of the Road” hard tire safety oil lamp, Pat. July 23, 1889. Note oil reservoir with “Premier Cycle Co., New York, Made In England” badge. Fancy ruby glass side lens with “X” pattern cuts. Retains spring mount hardware. Very good condition.

78. Scarce silverplate 19th c. Victorian napkin holder. Ornate design with cherub on highwheel, raised on a footed base having seashell and rose motif. Signed “Adelphi Silver Plate Co., New York”, (beehive mark). C.1890. Good condition. Ex Berry Collection.

91. 19th c. photoprint colored with gouache and depicting Hamden Park, Springfield, Mass. The original photo was taken by D.J. Bordeaux of Spingfield. Mr. Bordeaux is listed as having a business address at 486 Main St. in the Pynchon Bank Building. An original copy of the photo is in the collection of the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum. This example is enlarged and colored by artist “P.N. Mann”. 29 ½” x 50”. Print has tack holes and some imperfections, otherwise good condition. Ex Roger Johnson Collection. Sold: $1,100
103. c.1937 Shelby Super Air Flow with Shelby Flyer name badge, ex Steve Castelli Collection. Pictured in Evolution of the Bicycle, Vol.I, page 148. Featuring very rare aluminum fenders and Delta Nu-Torpedo fender mount head lamp (with “5” pierced cut out detail), twin truss rod front fork , New Departure front brake, “Trail Blazer” tri-shaped speedometer, chrome horn tank, Troxel seat, chrome rear carrier, rare aluminum Delta tail light, and Goodyear “Air Wheel” fat white wall tires. Minor paint nicks, front fender has dent, otherwise excellent restored condition. Sold: $1,650
104. Pocket watch, “Elgin National Watch Co.”, signed on works, “B.W. Raymond”, SN SS38241. Back of watch has engraved highwheel with exposed mechanism with miniature crystal. Appears to work – sold as is. Very good condition. Ex Berry Collection.
