111. Rare 19th c. sterling silver (unmarked) horseshoe shaped matchsafe with hinged lid having a pair of uniformed gents on boneshakers in high relief on one side and two horsemen on the other, c.1860. Note great detail and quality. Minor imperfections. 2擧t., 1 緮W.

This track along the Connecticut river was George Hendee抯 揾ome?track and was reputed to be the fastest bicycle track in the United States. This c.1880抯 litho depicts thousands of people at a highwheel race, unbelievable detail. 19?x 27 綌. Surface imperfections.

Autographed editions are becoming more and more valuable, Taylor was probably one of the most famous athletes of his time.
