100. c.1760 Spitafield silk brocade sack back gown and petticoat with applied lace and trim. Bodice lined with linen; long flowing pleats in back; slits for pockets; cloth covered button with cord to draw up sides of skirt. Similar to one photographed on page 85 of Linda Boumgarten’s book, What Clothes Reveal . Found in a trunk in New Hampshire.
