The bench has been in storage for many years. A brass plaque attached to the front states, "Brethens Work Bench Church Family, Mt. Lebanon, NY". Estimate 2500-3500

 

16. 19th c. Mt. Lebanon Shaker cupboard having double paneled door over three drawers in original surface. This cupboard was taken from the Darrow School during renovations in the early 1960's. This cupboard is in untouched original condition and displays high country style with molded pilasters, cockbeading and raised and molded panel doors. Originally painted putty brown, red and apple green, it was grain painted in the late 19th c. Note sophisticated cornice molding.
